Dr Carles Llorens-Maluquer (1st March 2006 - 1st February 2007)

Dr Carles Llorens-Maluquer is a lecturer on Electronic Media and Media Policy at the Communication Sciences Faculty in the Barcelona Autonomous University in Spain where he is Associate Professor. Dr Llorens-Malaquer's research interests are related to European Union Media Policy. He has previously worked as a journalist in Spain and at the news agency, Europa Press in Brussels. His work at the centre will research how the European Competition Policy has contributed to the configuration of the Spanish and British broadcasting sector. The two specific areas to be analysed will be the EU Public Broadcasting System and the Pay-TV market in the last 15 years.
