Professor Chulwoo Lee (4th January 2006 - 20th February 2007)

Dr Chulwoo Lee is an academic from the College of Law at Sungkyunkwan University, Republic of Korea where he is an Associate Professor. His research interests lie in Legal Strategies of Transnationalism and the Politics of Citizenship. His research at the centre aims to develop a theoretical framework to explicate the legal strategies and practices of 'deterritorialisation' and ‘(re)territorialisation' of states amidst increasing transnationalism, with a focus on various attempts of states to reproduce theory ties with émigrés, diasporas or ‘kin-foreigners' and national and international reactions to such attempts.
