Giuliano G. Castellano (Trinity Term 2009)
Dr. Giuliano G. Castellano is a postdoctoral fellow at the Ecole Polytechnique (Centre de Recherche en Gestion) and he is Lecturer in “Issues of Law and Finance in Europe and the U.S.” at the International University College of Turin (IUC). After graduating in Law at Bocconi University (Milan, Italy) he obtained a PhD in “Economie et Science Sociales” from the Ecole Polytechnique of Paris, and a PhD in “Comparative Analysis of Law, Economics and Institutions” from the CLEI Centre at the Collegio Carlo Alberto (Turin, Italy).
Giuliano is currently involved in different research projects within the broader field of comparative law and finance and financial markets regulation. He is working in a research unit of Bocconi University, sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Education, with the aim of investigating the linguistic and cultural influences over the implementation of international financial standards in different countries. He is also conducing a research focused on the architectural framework for financial markets regulation and supervision. Within this filed, during his stay at the Centre he will concentrate on the relations between super-national regulatory models and national specificities.
