Josep Maria Carbonell (May 2010- July 2010)

Josep Maria Carbonell joined us from the Faculty of Communications Blanquerna at Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona, where he is completing a doctorate on the subject of “Democracy and Communications: The Challenge of Regulation”.  He has previously been President of RIRM (Mediterranean Network of Regulatory Bodies of Media), and his research interests are Media Convergence and Regulation; Globalization, media policy and Regulation; Democracy, media ownership concentration and Regulation; and Pluralism, access to the public sphere and Regulation.
