Robert Hanlon (Michaelmas Term 2008)

Robert is a PhD Candidate at City University of Hong Kong researching human rights, corruption and corporate social responsibility in China and Southeast Asia. He has his BA in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Victoria (Canada), a Master's in International Relations from the University of Queensland (Australia) and a diploma in Chinese studies from Wenzao College (Taiwan). He has undertaken postgraduate work at the Liu Institute for Global Issues, University of British Columbia (Canada), the Sasin Graduate Institute for Business Administration, Chulalongkorn University (Thailand) and is now very happy to be visiting the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies. Robert has previously worked for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong; the Canadian High Commission to Australia; as well as the Asian Human Rights Commission, a Hong Kong-based regional NGO with United Nations consultative status.
